22nd October 2018

It is Nikkhil Advani's next with John Abraham titled 'Batla House encounter' a film inspired from true events. The film finally went on floors from Sunday onwards. Moreover, the scripting stages took a long time and Advani said "Writer Ritesh Shah has lived the dream longer. He spent a year researching and meeting people before coming to me, thinking the maker of D-Day, Airlift and P.O.W. Bandi Yudhh Ke was the best person for this film. At the time I was preoccupied with other projects. When I finally picked up the script, I couldn't put it down."

He further said, "I just felt it needed some more work. (Smiles) I didn't know it'd take four years and 30 drafts before we could take it to the floors. I have never felt more energised or more nervous."

John Abraham is reported to play the protagonist DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav who lead the operation. Batla House encounter took place a decade ago on 19th September, 2008 when two alleged Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists, Atif Amin and Mohamed, were gunned down in the Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi.

The film will be jointly produced by TSeries, Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures LLP and JA Entertainment in association with Bake My Cake Films. It will be shot in locations of Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Nepal.
