Indian-Moroccan dance sensation Nora Fatehi was last seen in the remake of iconic number 'Dilbar' in John Abraham's in 'Satyameva Jayate'. The 26-year old will play a major role in Nikkhil Advanis directorial 'Batla House' that features John as ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav. The film which went on the floors on October 21, is inspired by a real encounter that took place a decade ago.
Speaking about bagging the role Nora said, "I play a key role in the film which requires me to take up extensive workshops with diction classes. It's an honour to be a part of this project and I am grateful for a team that believes in me as an actor."
Confirming the news director Nikkhil who would also be co-producing the film with T-Series' head honcho Bhushan Kumar said in a statement, "Around the time that we were shooting for "Dilbar" I was surprised to learn that Nora was only being used for item songs even though she is really expressive and understands nuances, language of cinema well. All that is needed is to put her through language classes before she starts shooting for the film towards November-end, so she loses her accent."
Batla House is slated for 2019 Independence Day release. Nora made her acting debut in Kamal Sadanah's 2014 horror feature 'Roar'. The actress even did an item number in Rajkummar Rao starrer 'Stree'.
