Ranchi Diaries' cast meets Jharkhand CM

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher who is now in his brand new role of a producer along with his team of his upcoming production venture 'Ranchi Diaries' recently met the Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das to express a kind gesture of gratitude. The movie team includes actor Himansh Kohli and Soundarya Sharma with writer-director Sattwik Mohanty who met the Chief Minister to thank him for the support that the government extended to the film. In a statement, Anupam Kher said, "In the last couple of years, the Jharkhand government has been very forthcoming and supportive of the films that are being made to spread awareness about the cultural heritage and tourism of the state."

"We are very fortunate to have been given this (support) by the CM. It was a pleasure meeting him today (Tuesday). He also said that they are trying to make the film tax-free since the whole film is shot here," he further added.

The film follows the story of Gudiya, played by debutante Soundarya and her friends, Taaha Shah and Himansh, who are out to make it big in a small town (Ranchi). 'Ranchi Diaries' starring Anupam Kher, Jimmy Shergill, Soundarya Sharma, Himansh Kohli and Taaha tells the story of a young aspiring actress/model and her Godfather who can do whatever it takes to make it big in life. It is set to hit theatres on October 13.
