(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Taylor Lautner has splashed out on a new luxury car.

The actor treated himself to a 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, which reportedly cost the 19-year-old an impressive $200,000.

The Twilight star chose a silver model with gullwing' doors that open upwards vertically rather than outwards horizontally, during a visit to a Los Angeles car dealership with his parents last Wednesday. TMZ are reporting that he drove his new car home the same day.

Taylor clearly has expensive taste when it comes to cars, as he previously named the Audi R8 as his dream automobile.

He has, of course, been earning handsomely thanks to his role as werewolf Jacob Black in the hugely successful Twilight franchise.

Currently promoting the final instalment of the popular series, the teenage heartthrob's next project, Incarceron, is already in pre-production so his good fortune looks likely to continue for some time.

According to movie website Collider, Taylor will portray Finn, a 17-year-old held captive in Incarceron, "a prison so vast that it contains not only cells, but also metal forests, dilapidated cities, and vast wilderness."
