5th January 2011

January 5, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): The people of Bengal have still not stopped humming to the Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao number from Autograph and Anupam Roy is experiencing what a life changing experience last year had been! In a statement to the media, Anupam Roy opens up about life after Autograph and says that people in the Bengali film industry have started taking him seriously. Not only is Anupam Roy enjoying the accolades coming his way, he is also being given the opportunity to choose from a variety of projects being offered to him. The singer and lyricist will next be seen in a future project of filmmaker Haranath Chakraborty.

Titled Cholo Paltai, the film will be Anupam Roys first brush with Bengali commercial cinema and will star Prosenjit Chatterjee, the actor behind Anupam Roys Autograph success. The musician admits that Prosenjit Chatterjee has been one but definitely not the only reason which inspired him to take up the music project of Cholo Paltai.

Shuttling between Kolkata and Bangalore, where he works in an engineering firm, Anupam Roy concedes that life has become really difficult these days as he has become a really busy man. Not that the singer is complaining because music has always been his first love. The only decision which is difficult to take for Anupam Roy at the present moment is whether he should quit his Bangalore based job, a job that he enjoys doing! The audience in Bengal who have become fans of Anupam Roy after the release of his Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao number will surely be looking forward to many more tracks from the young singer.
