A Friend in need is a friend indeed. But what happends when one gets into wrong company? The story of Sengadu, directed by debutant Ramesh Ramaswamy, is based on this conflict.

Roopa, a prominent new face in Telugu films will play the female lead. The rest of the cast consists of Arun Prakash, Suresh, Nagina, Utham, Vimala, Vikki and Priya, all new faces.

"The movie speaks about the necessity of choosing the right friends. However it has a mixture romance, humour and sentiments," said Ramesh Ramaswamy, who has written the story of the movie, along with the screenplay and dialogues.

He added more saying that he has made sure that the film is a complete entertainment package and will keep the audience rooted to their seats.

Futhermore, Ramaswamy says that getting four popular starts for a film is no easy task, and hence he decided to sign new faces for the same. They newbees were given proper training before the shoot began.
