94.3 Radio One cheers 'GO INDIA GO' for Indian Cricket Team!
18th February 2011
Mumbai, February 16, 2011: Music station 94.3 Radio One and LIC OF India presents the launch of “Go India Go…!” the Cricket Anthem dedicated to the Indian cricket team, in keeping with the next few months which would be offering almost nonstop cricketing action! The anthem integrates the two main passions of most Indians – music and cricket, and has been composed by Leslie Lewis, written by Swanand Kirkire and sung by Shaan and Kailash Kher.
The music station had put graffiti walls in over 25 malls across the country to serve as a medium for cricket lovers to find a title for the anthem. The phrase `GO INDIA GO` was the popular choice, and was put to music by Leslie Lewis. The program 'Cricket- Play your Music Day' will also be hosted by 'the World Cup winning squad of 1983' on this music station. Listeners can also tune-in for daily updates by cricket commentator, Harsha Bhogle, and participate in contests that promise passes for winners to watch the matches live.
