'Article 15' asks everyone to abide by constitution of India

The trailer of Anubhav Sinha's directorial 'Article 15' is hard-hitting and questions the viewer, about the discrimination occuring in the society on the grounds of caste, creed, religion, race, sex, etc. 

Trailer opens with statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar holding a book; who wrote the Constitution of India in the year 1950. Ayushmann Khurrana plays a sincere cop who is set to investigate a murder case of 2 young girls. While villagers claim it to be a case of honour-killing, actress Sayani Gupta reveals the real reason of it. 

Also throwing light on one crucial element witnessed over the years, of no FIR being filed of such cases to avoid further bloodshed in the several parts of the country. 

The actor is seen frustrated when he asks each of his team member about their origin, they also seem to believe in this shameful patterns of division in the society. His immediate reaction to this conversation is wanting people to change and adapt to ways of living life as described in the constitution of the country.

Based on true events, Ayushmann plays IPS officer Ayan Ranjan; film is backed by Benaras Media Works. It stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, Sushil Pandey, Ronjini Chakraborty, Zeeshan Ayub, Manoj Pahwa, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, M. Nasser and Subrajyoti Bharat.

Just before the trailer released, makers dropped 2nd teaser blatantly telling us how we don't deserve to watch trailer due to our financial capabilities, which many people in society go through on regular basis. Click here to watch the 2nd teaser. 

'Article 15' releases on June 28, 2019. The movie will open the 5th Birmingham Indian Film Festival beginning on 21st June, 2019.
