When all the audiences were eagerly expecting a concert by A R Rahman in front of the Taj Mahal, during the audio launch of ‘Ekk Dheewana Tha’ later this week, the shocking news is that permission has been denied by authorities for the music show.
'Officials of Archaeological Survey of India, under whose purview heritage monuments like Taj Mahal fall, are not ready to give permission to the show, fearing any damage to the ancient monument,' sources said.
Following this, director of the film Gautham Vasudev Menon and his team have now reportedly selected a star hotel at Agra to hold the event. 'The hotel has an excellent view of Taj Mahal and Rahman will perform from there,' sources maintain.
'Ekk Dheewana Tha', starring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, is the Hindi remake of Telugu super hit 'Ye Maya Chesave' and Tamil hit 'Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya'.
