(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Aaron Eckhart says he felt like a marine when he was training for World Invasion: Battle LA.

The actor stars along Michelle Rodriguez and Bridget Moynahan in the new action movie, about a marine platoon who must defend Los Angeles from an alien invasion. Aaron had to undergo a gruelling exercise programme to prepare for the film and he says the experience was one he will always remember. He spent weeks training with real US marines and loved every minute of it.

"It was amazing," Aaron explained. "Of course we're nothing like real marines but we all felt as close as we are ever going to get by the end of it.

Aaron believes the tough regime helped him to bond with the rest of the cast and had a positive impact on the chemistry between the stars of the film. The 42-year-old Hollywood hunk says it made him realise how important teamwork is when you are put in a stressful or potentially dangerous situation.

We are just actors but we felt like brothers by the end of that boot camp, he added. You really learn to look out for your buddy and that's a great feeling. (C) Cover Media
