January 17, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Television star Achint Kaur who is considered a great portrayer of the modern and contemporary Indian woman with a western touch on screen has reportedly gone on to say that there are not many writers in the industry who are capable of handling and churning out great comedy scripts which is quite sad.

Although she does state that there are writers like JD Majethia who do write some funny scripts that do genuinely manage to tickle the funny bone, in fact his work in the comedy serial Kichdi is very commendable and so are his other works in a few serials more, but apart from that there are hardly any writers who are capable of coming out with some with dialogues and funny one liners.

Well actually making people laugh with the most funny dialogues is no childs play and perhaps after having seen some old serials which did have some very genuine comedy content like that was evident in serials like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and a few during the eighties, it really is quite a tough job to come out with content that could make audiences laugh their lungs out.

It really seems like Achint will have to wait for writers to churn out some great serials and scripts like the yesteryears for her to actually get her funny bone tickled. Till then enjoy whats available in the form of Kichdi!
