'Rajvaadi Odhni' portrays Alia as a happy-go-luck girl

10th May 2019

Couple of weeks after its release makers of 'Kalank' released a track titled 'Rajvaadi Odhni'. Without even wasting a minute this track reminded us of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', Alia Bhatt's introductory song shows her  in her atmosphere surrounded by people who like her.

Seen in ethnic ghagra-choli she is chasing kites as she descends from a fort in a small town located in Rajasthan. Going by the visuals it might be the festival of Holi, but then what is the significance of kite in it?

It's a peppy dance number, where Alia is seen dancing with local musicians, people in her vicinity and artisans. Music composer Pritam recorded with local Rajasthani musicians to give the song authenticity. The track is sung by Jonita Gandhi and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Though 'Kalank' opened on a good note with 21.60 crore and also marked as the highest opener for Alia and Varun individually, it failed to be a successful venture for respective production houses.
