Adam Levine "thinks [he'll] be good" in his acting debut.
The Maroon 5 frontman will take a break from music to star in season two of hit FX series American Horror Story. Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto and Evan Peters also star in the Ryan Murphy-created show.
Adam has high hopes for his TV venture.
"Ryan Murphy asked me to be in it. We had dinner and he said, Do you want to do this show?' And I said, Yes,' and then I'm going to show up and I'm going to try to act," he told Access Hollywood.
"I hope I don't disappoint [Ryan]. I think I think I'll be good in it."
Adam appears as a judge and mentor on the US version of hit TV show The Voice alongside Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green.
Christina and Blake's teams took to the stage this week and it is his singers' turn to compete next week.
The singer is looking forward to the event.
"I'm excited for that to happen on my team cause you discover things about people you get excited about other people seeing you. That's what's going on with my team right now - this kind of excitement about the potential of what they can accomplish and what they can do," he explained.
"So I'm just trying to tee it up so they can do it the best they can."
Adam has been sporting a much shorter crop of late. The star has explained his reasoning behind his sheared tresses.
"Sometimes you just sometimes you've got to just take it off," he said. "[It] releases things. Gets you in a good place."
