(Cover) - EN Movies - Adrianne Palicki has signed for G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes.
The Friday Nights Lights star recently played Wonder Woman in a pilot episode in the much talked about relaunch of the superhero franchise. However, the show was surprisingly not picked up by NBC and was then scrapped. The star now has some welcome good news as she will play a covert operation specialist Lady Jaye in the G.I. Joe sequel.
Adrianne will star in the franchise alongside returning actors Ray Park and Channing Tatum. Dwayne Johnson is another newcomer to the series, playing the character Roadblock. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has already confirmed that he will not be reprising his role as villain The Commander in the sequel.
According to Deadline, Bruce Willis is seen as the "top choice" to play the original G.I. Joe, Joe Colton.
G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes will be released next year.
Adrianne will be next seen in the remake of 80s teen cult classic Red Dawn. (C) Cover Media
