News on theatrical rights of Ajith Kumar starrer Billa 2 followed by the rumours have been circulating like wild fire in the media since a few days. After awaiting, the producer of the movie, Sunir Kheterpal, CEO, IN Entertainment, cleared the air.

Sunir said, 'There was a huge interest amongst potential buyers for the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Billa 2. After having extensive discussions with several parties over the past four weeks, we decided to collaborate with Aascar. We are currently working on the plans for May and shall soon make announcements on certain important dates to watch out for.'

Aascar Ravichandran said, 'We are very happy to associate with INE for release of the film in Tamil Nadu. It is an Ajith starrer, part of the hugely popular Billa franchise and the first big film to hit screens post IPL this year. We are very excited about this association and are working towards giving the film tremendous publicity, marketing and promotional push in May.'

Reports also say that Andhra Pradesh rights are with SVR Media, Karnataka with Leader Films (who also distributed Mankatha), Music with Sony Music, TV rights with Sun TV and Overseas with US Based GK Media. Distribution for Kerala and North India shall be tied up within this month.
