Renowned Indian artists Kamal Haasan and Sarika's younger daughter Akshara Haasan is all set to make her debut in Bollywood with 'Shamitabh'.

She sports a rather unconventional look in the film, very different to the regular B-town actress. With a pixie haircut and black costumes, the goth look has set the tone apart for her.

Apparently the idea to give Akshara a very different look struck to R. Balki when he met her for the first time. She sported a very bold hair cut with blue streaks and sported a funky attire.

Balki decided to keep it same minus the blue hair colour. Akshara confesses that her look stunned a lot of industry people, "A lot of people had reservations about me chopping my hair off, and sporting a pixie cut. They also do not associate black with something an actor should wear on screen. However, I wanted the look to be spunky and different. I do not believe in stereotypes," she said.  

While the film is directed by veteran ad man turned into filmmaker R. Balki, she has Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush as her co-stars.
