(Cover) - EN Movies - January Jones is glad to have finally combated people's stereotypes over her stunning looks.
The 33-year-old American actress is best known for her portrayal of suburban housewife Betty Draper on hit US television series Mad Men, and she is also one of the stars of Matthew Vaughn's upcoming action movie X-Men: First Class.
January is proud of the way her career has panned out, and is happy that she doesn't rely on being blonde and beautiful to succeed.
"It's hard to find material that gives you the chance to challenge people's expectations. I've had to fight blonde stereotypes and doubt my entire career until Matthew gave me a role I could make my own," she explained.
The gorgeous star, who split from comedy actor Jason Sudeikis back in January, is currently pregnant with her first child, although she is refusing to divulge who the father is. The single actress has confessed that she hopes to meet the right guy soon.
"I love being at a point where you start seeing the possibilities unfold for you. I just hope I can also meet a great man who's going to make me feel that my life isn't just about the work," she added.
January also took the time to discuss her famous curves. The star found the difference in the prim and proper costumers her Mad Men character wears to the slinky ones worn by her X-Men alter ego Emma Frost hard to get used to.
"It was strange when I was shooting my X-Men scenes. For Mad Men they never wanted me to look too toned, so I would have a shape more typical of 60s women.
"But for Emma Frost, wearing a very tight and very sexy costume, I needed to be in the best shape possible," she told British newspaper The Sun.
"The problem was if I started losing weight, I'd lose my curves, which wouldn't be good for Emma. She has this amazing body so I had to get it just right. I had a lot of fun wearing the skimpy outfits." (C) Cover Media
