Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and one of the renowned directors of the Tamil film industry A R Murugadoss will be reuniting for a film. Earlier the duo made the blockbuster film 'Holiday- A soldier is never of duty' together. Holiday was the remake of hit Tamil film 'Thuppakki'.
The second collaboration of the duo will also be a remake of a Tamil action-drama film named 'Kaththi' which starred Tamil actor Vijay in a double role-as a petty thief and a postgraduate with staunch communist ideologies.
Akshay will also be seen in a double role. The film focuses on the issue of farmer’s suicide and severe water problems in rural areas. The film is re-titled as 'Ikka'.
Director is currently working on the script and the film will go on floors in August 2016 with a start-to-finish two-month schedule. The story will be filmed entirely in Chennai, but will travel through Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Bangkok.
