It's a known fact that costume designers and stylists play a key role in giving every star a million-dollar look both on and off screen. But lately there have been many stars who are designing their own look.

Sonakshi Sinha, who comes from a fashion designing background as a professional, often assembles a look. And this time, it is her former co-star Akshay Kumar who has done the same.

Akshay who has been known for his acting and fitness more than fashion, recently picked up the job of designing his look for his upcoming film 'The Shaukeens'.

As he plays himself in the film, Akshay felt it would be apt to let his personal style reflect on screen. Hence, he handpicked most of the apparels for his role in the film.

Director Abhishek Sharma exclaimed that they all were confident about Akshay's choices.  

"Because he is playing himself, he wanted to be comfortable in whatever he wore. And I thought it was a great idea, mainly because he is anyway so well-dressed and dapper in real life too. So I knew there was no way we could go wrong," he said.

Not many know that some clothes that he has worn in the film are of his own, while some have been bought by Akshay on his trips to Dubai and London.
