Alec Baldwin has joked he took the bus to the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards last night, following a famous altercation on a jet last year.
The actor took to his Twitter page last night to make light of the incident on an American Airlines flight in December. Alec was ejected from the plane after it was delayed by his refusal to stop playing a cell phone game.
The Hollywood star joked about his trip to the film awards yesterday.
"The flight attendant who was there [was part of the] joke. We just tweeted that he was throwing me off the plane," he told Extra.
"We took the bus here. It took a while. We had snacks, they were good snacks. Juice boxes and everything."
Alec also addressed the SAG Awards trophy. The funnyman won the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in 30 Rock, and says the statue was a tribute to one of his fellow actors.
"That's Stanley Tucci. If you've seen Stanley Tucci naked, that's exactly what he looks like. Totally ripped," he deadpanned.
Alec was joined on the red carpet by his 27-year-old girlfriend Hilaria Thomas. The 53-year-old star discussed their plans for upcoming Valentine's Day.
"We have to work in New York that weekend. A big trip we have planned is to go to the Cannes Film Festival. We're going to spend a lot of time there and we're looking forward to it," he smiled.
