(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alec Baldwin has become the 2,433rd celebrity to be honoured by the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 52-year-old actor has won a host of accolades since beginning his career, including two Emmy Awards and three Golden Globes.

Yesterday, Alec received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his achievements in the entertainment industry.

The honour is mostly down to his television accomplishments, including his starring role in NBC sitcom 30 Rock, his stints as host of Saturday Night Live, two seasons on Knots Landing, numerous guest appearances and co-hosting last years Oscars with Steve Martin.

"I didn't think this was something I wanted to do, to commit to a show, to sign a contract for years on end," he said, as he thanked the cast and crew of 30 Rock.

"I made films and worked in the theatre and there's a lot of diversity there that's kind of an advantage. But then I did Will &Grace and had the best time of my life.

Despite receiving a star for his acting talents, Alec has revealed he is eager to try something else for a while and is contemplating a career in radio after 30 Rock is finished.

"I really do want to do other things," Baldwin admitted to Extra. "I just sold a pilot package to NPR for a radio interview show. I've been doing this non-stop for 32 years, started in 1980. I'm one of those people, I've just worked and worked non-stop. And I would like to try something else for a while.

In January 2009, the actor became the host of The New York Philharmonic This Week, the nationally broadcast radio series of the New York Philharmonic orchestra. Alec has explained he might consider doing a TV commentary-type show.

"I certainly would be open to the idea. Just to try something different from what I'm doing now, for a while to see what it's like. For me, as I get older I want to enjoy my life, so we'll see, he added.

Alec has previously revealed he is also eager to pursue his political ambitions. As well as being a talented actor, Alec is famously interested in politics, and is well known for voicing his opinions notably during former US President George W. Bushs time in power from 2001 to 2009.

Alec has spoken of his desire to work in politics in the past, and says he has large projects in mind because he wants to run for a "big office" with "a lot of people working for him". (C) Cover Media
