The 30-year-old movie hunk plays centurion Marcus Aquila in the adventure movie set in Roman-ruled Britain, while 24-year-old Jamie portrays slave Esca.

The talented actors formed a close bond during their time working together, with Channing even teasing that the pair have fallen for each other.

Jamie and I have a bromance. We've been having sex for a few years now, he laughed in an interview with NYMag.com, adding that the relationship is "going fantastic".

The film has caught the attention of critics for having two male leads and no female love interests, and Channing feels there is no need to always concentrate on the love between a man and a woman in cinema. He says that while he and Jamie had a bromance off screen, there also was one taking place on screen.

I think theres love in any relationship, whether its between a man and a woman, an animal and a person. Look, you have a need to be understood, humans gather around each other and they need to help each other through things.
