(Cover) - EN Movies - Alexandra Daddario is in final negotiations to star in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D.
The 25-year-old American actress is known for appearances in movies such as 2010's Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and 2005 comedy The Squid and the Whale.
Her latest project is believed to be the female lead role in a 3D remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, with Variety reporting that she has entered final negotiations.
The original horror was a huge hit back in 1974, and continues to be cited as one of the genre's masterpieces. It was remade in 2003 with stars including Jessica Biel and Jonathan Tucker, and the latest 3D version of the tale will be directed by John Luessenhop. Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan co-wrote the script, which was reportedly tweaked by Kirsten Elms and John.
Production is due to begin later this month in Shreveport, Louisiana. Horror fans can expect to see the movie released by October 2012. (C) Cover Media
