Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan who debuted together in Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year' and went on doing two more films together 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and 'Badrinath ki Dulhania'. Now the duo had wrapped up the shoot for KJo's 'Kalank', sharing a Black and White with co-star Varun, Alia was full of praises for the 'Judwaa 2' actor.

Sharing the pic Alia wrote, "& it’s a film wrap for Varun on KALANK.. Our 4th film completed together and he still manages to surprise me with his hard work and crazy energy everyday.. Also manages to make me laugh like a crazy person by just being himself.. I can't can't can't wait for you guys to see the stuff he’s done with his character in the film!!!! #KALANK"

Directed by Abhishek Varman, the shooting of 'Kalank' began last year in April. The film also stars Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. The actors have shot for the film in Mumbai, Kargil, Hyderabad and Chanderi.

'Kalank' is bankrolled under Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film hits the theatres on April 19, 2019. 'Kalank' is a magnum opus period drama set in the backdrop of 1940's and it will be interesting to watch such a wide ensemble cast coming up together for this film.
