Amanda Bynes vehicle has been taken into custody by police officers.

The troubled 26-year-old actress was charged with two misdemeanour counts of hit-and-run last week. Following her indictments, the California Department of Motor Vehicles temporarily revoked her driving privileges.

TMZ reports that Amanda was pulled over by police in the morning on Sunday in her black BMW. Her car was impounded when officials discovered she was driving on a suspended licence.

Amanda was stopped by police on Sunday September 9 and let go with a warning just days after her licence suspension. She was also photographed driving aimlessly and smoking out of what appeared to be a marijuana pipe last Tuesday.

Following the pipe-smoking photographs, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered Amanda to stay off the road at a hearing last Wednesday.

Should Amanda be convicted of these crimes she faces up on one year in jail, six months per misdemeanour.
