After facing constant drought of medals at the ongoing Rio Olympics 2016, finally two of our athletes and that too female, earned medals for our country and made us much more proud. While on one side the athletes were receiving a firm support from almost every nook and corner of the nation, it was socialist and journalist Shobhaa De who passed a nasty comment on the performance of the athletes. She said, "Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali  haat  wapas  aao. What a waste of money and opportunity."

Shobhaa De was trolled by every person on social media platform as her comment didn't go well with them. Every sports enthusiast expressed their anger towards her. Just like people slammed her for her tweet, they didn't spare her too post the these two victories at the Olympics. Within no time memes and jokes making fun of her started floating on the social media platform. Joining them was Big B too, but in his very own witty way. 

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan posted some messages on his twitter which in fact are a reply for Shobhaa De's comment. In a series of tweets he said, "T 2352 - #PVSindhu .. aap "khaali haath" nahein, medal leke wapas aa rahein hain .. aur hum aapke saath 'selfie' nikalne chahate hain !!."

"T 2352 - Never ever underestimate power of female gender ! #PVSindhu you have destroyed so many 'naysayers' .. you are the PRIDE of INDIA !."
