(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Andy Garcia was baffled after an encounter with a fan who wasnt impressed with his appearance.

The 54-year-old Hollywood actor boasts an army of female fans across the globe, who are all attracted to his dark good looks and dapper style.

However, Andy admits he had a rather embarrassing encounter during the making of 2001 comedy-crime movie Oceans Eleven, when he took a break from filming with co-stars Don Cheadle and Scott Caan. The actors got talking to a fan, who decided Andy looks better on screen than in the flesh.

We went to get a coffee at the Bellagio Hotel while filming Oceans Eleven. We were all in costume and the girl at the counter was like, What are you doing? he replied when asked by the British edition of OK! magazine if he had ever had strange encounters with fans

We told her that we were filming Oceans Eleven and she says to Don, Andy Garcia is in that movie, isnt he? And he says, Yeah, hes right next to me. She looks at me and is like, No, thats not him, Andy Garcia is much, much better looking!

Andy also discussed fame, admitting that he doesnt feel like he holds any secrets from the public. The star is confused as to why he has a reputation for being a private person.

I think everyone knows everything about me. My work is public... People say Im known to be very private, but in reality Im very public, he added. (C) Cover Media
