Bethenny Frankel: I'm not surprised Housewives sacked

21st September 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Bethenny Frankel says that she is "not surprised" that some of her former castmates have been fired.

The former Real Housewives of New York star opened up to E! Online about the news that Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop have been axed from the reality show.

She says that they should not take it personally as it was just a business decision.

"I'm not surprised only because it's been the same cast for so many years and Bravo likes to make changes," she said of the television network.

"They probably just felt like it was time for a change. People do that in relationships, they do that in work strategy. I don't think it's personal. I think it's really just business."

The reality star turned business mogul left the show and now has her own spinoff called Bethenny Ever After that showcases her life with her husband Jason Hoppy and one-year-old daughter Bryn.

She was not on good terms with Kelly or Jill when she left and although starting off as the underdog and not having much money, she is now one of the wealthiest women in the entertainment industry.

There has also been talk about her rags to riches tale being turned into a biopic.

Bethenny says that she would like Glee star Lea Michele to play her in the story about her life and Ryan Gosling to star as her husband.

The 40-year-old was named this year's highest paid celebrity mother after bringing in $55 million dollars from May 2010 to May 2011 from her Skinnygirl empire. (C) Cover Media
