Anil's son more inclined to be behind the scenes

23rd May 2013

From producer Boney Kapoor's son Arjun Kapoor, director David Dhawan's son Varun Dhawan to director Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia Bhatt and many more, our industry kids sure have an edge when it comes to making their debut in Bollywood. And the same was expected when Anil Kapoor's son Harshvardhan Kapoor started making appearances at high-profile events in tinsel town, as the media was hoping to soon hear news of his Bollywood debut.

However, Harshvardhan will not be seen in an actor's avatar anytime soon. The young Kapoor lad, who recently returned from New York after completing his screenplay writing and acting curriculum, wants to start out in Bollywood as an assistant director (AD).

Harshvardhan will be assisting renowned director Anurag Kashyap on Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma's film titled 'Bombay Velvet'.

Besides, there is no paucity of offers for Harsh, as based on insiders he was also offered projects by Vikramaditya Motwane, who is currently working with Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha on 'Lootera', and the veteran filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. However, Harshvardhan, who is more inclined to wear the AD's hat in Ranbir's next, has apparently declined the other offers.

Arjun too had earlier planned to be a writer and director instead of acting, but thanks to his mentor Salman Khan, who had recommended Arjun to opt for acting, impressed the audiences with 'Ishaqzaade' and the latest 'Aurangzeb'.

So let's hope that this Kapoor lad too has a change of heart, as we would love to see Anil's son light up the big screen.
