(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Anne Hathaway was "obsessed" with saying bath' in her new movie.
The American actress had to master a northern English accent for her role as Emma in One Day. Anne loved pronouncing bath' in the new dialect and wanted to use it in every scene.
"I was obsessed with getting clean in this movie, I wanted to say, Let's have a bath' in every scene," Anne laughed. "You know, getting the Yorkshire dialect was hard enough. But then you have to realise that she changes over 20 years. So finding a way to have the accent grow and change subtly was a great challenge."
Anne spent a lot of time in the UK while filming scenes for One Day. Her British co-star Jim Sturgess ensured she enjoyed her stay by taking her on several nights out. Jim has joked that he went to great lengths to keep Anne happy during shooting.
"This is my chaperone," Anne said pointing to Jim. "He keeps me on the up and up."
"Yes, I make tea and do make-up, give pep talks," Jim quipped. "I do head massages, but I don't do feet." (C) Cover Media
