(Cover) - EN Star Style - Sir Anthony Hopkins has shared his top diet tips, revealing that he recommends a three-egg white omelette.

The 73-year-old actor is best known for his portrayal of cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs, as well as in its sequel Hannibal, and prequel Red Dragon.

Anthony works hard to maintain his sporty frame, and tries to lay off carbohydrates in a bid to stay slim. He also thinks egg yolk should be avoided, and advocates eating two apples per day.

Try to cut out the bread. And the sugar. I tell you what is good, a three-egg white omelette. Very good for the prostate. No toast. No bread. No rice. No pasta. Try that and two apples a day. At night you can have a baked potato and three ounces of turkey and fish. And thats what it takes, he explained to British newspaper The Daily Telegraph.

Anthony also enjoys keeping fit when he isnt making movies, and is proud to say he partakes in physical activity on a daily basis. The actor doesnt believe in pushing himself too hard though, and prefers to take a balanced approach to his fitness regime.

Im not a health freak. I just work out every day. Yesterday, I did 750 calories on the treadmill. I do an hour power walking. Sweat it out. But I dont strain myself, added the star. (C) Cover Media
