(Cover) - EN Star Style - Geri Halliwell will never shut the door on bulimia, but it isnt something which impacts her life anymore.

The former Spice Girls singer has had a famously difficult relationship with her body. She has been many sizes over the years, and has admitted to suffering from the eating disorder in the past.

Geri looked toned and healthy when she launched her new swimwear range last week, and says she is finally content with the way she looks. However, that doesnt mean she is complacent as she knows her issues could resurface at any time.

Having had bulimia is part of my history, she said. I dont shut the door on it but I dont focus on it. It is something I have experienced. Im definitely less controlling about the way I look and Ive learned to relax and let go a bit.

The star explained becoming a mother to her now four-year-old daughter Bluebell has had a massive impact on her life. Now she has someone else to look after she isnt as selfish as she once was, and simply doesnt have time to obsess about her appearance.

There are other things to worry about and being a mom has definitely shifted the focus, she told British newspaper The Daily Mirror. I dont have time to exercise for two or three hours a day and I have to choose whether I go and work out for hours or I go and play with my daughter.

Its important that I spend as much time as possible with her, so taking her to the park or walking her to school is my workout.

The 38-year-old added that she is keen to promote the importance of a healthy body to Bluebell and other young girls, which is another reason she is now more confident.

The star has accepted her appearance, although she has mixed feelings about turning 40. She will hit the landmark age next year, but is determined not to let it affect her.

Am I going to suddenly lengthen my skirts? No I certainly wont. But I will try and be true to what I feel comfortable with and what feels appropriate for me, rather than just dressing for my age, she said. (C) Cover Media
