One of the best directors of our country and one of the most popular and fond actors of Bollywood, Anurag Kashyap and Ranbir Kapoor will come together for the movie 'Bombay Velvet'.

Yes, the director has finally penned down a script for Ranbir. Anurag has been anxiously waiting to work with the actor, but he never got the right script for him. The former kept messaging Ranbir since his early career days stating that he wanted to work with him.

When Anurag was asked how he feels about Ranbir, here is what he had to say, "Ranbir Kapoor is a tremendous actor. He is an actor at par with any of the trained actors. I’d give my right arm or left arm or anything to work with him. I’ve been messaging him since I saw Rocket Singh and Wake Up Sid, constantly saying, ‘I want to work with you. I don’t know on what. When I’ll have a script, I’ll tell you’... Now, I’m working with Ranbir in Bombay Velvet."

Ranbir, who is equally thrilled and excited to work with Kashyap says, "Anurag has really been supportive of my work. He has been messaging me right from my Wake Up Sid days... He’s one of the leading directors of our country and I hope we make magic together. It’s one of the scripts that will really change the perception of me as an actor also."

Earlier it was stated that Aamir Khan and John Abraham were suppose to do the film. Anurag clarified that he had approached Aamir, but he never got a chance to narrate the script to him and about John, there were many movies that the duo wanted to make, but that is not happening either.
