Bollywood’s prime production banner Yash Raj recently announced their film ‘Ishqazaade’ starring debutants Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, Priyanka Chopra’s cousin. However not many know that Anushka Sharma who climbed the peak of her stardom with the success of ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ was actually vying for the female lead role in the same film. Citing the fact that the film was being made under her favorite banner Yash Raj, it was assumed that she was making every effort to star in the film. However the makers wanted a fresh face so that they keep the balance and give both the stars an equal amount of credit in the film. And hence the announcement of Parineeti bagging the coveted role was made. Now this has probably saddened Anushka.

We wonder if Anushka was vying the role to star opposite Arjun Kapoor whom she calls as her ‘friend’ and was linked to him after being spotted around with the debutant at quite few occasions. Also we heard that Aushka had problems with Parineeti while shooting for their film ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ as she could not see her ‘good friend’ Ranveer getting close to her.
