It seems filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia has finalized his cast as the filmmaker is making the latest confirmation on the star cast of his most ambitious film 'Zanjeer'.

The original film had three major roles of yesteryear actors Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Pran.

As superstar Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan Teja is essaying the lead role of Big B, Priyanka Chopra would be stepping in to Jaya's shoes and Arjun Rampal has been roped in to play the pivotal role of actor Pran popularly known as Sher Khan in the film. 

Earlier, actors Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj and Sanjay Dutt were the frontrunners shortlisted by Lakhia for the coveted role.

However, Arjun fitted the bill well and also had major dates for the film.
