Arjun shuns comparisons with Bollywood biggies

5th March 2014
In a short span, actor Arjun Kapoor has made quite an impression in the industry.

He made his debut as a young and feisty lover in 'Ishaqzaade', then went on to do a challenging double role in 'Aurangzeb', followed by the role of a dreaded gangster in 'Gunday'

Citing his roles with grey shades and anger, he has attracted comparisons from all ends.

People have been comparing his aggressive as well as flamboyant performances to Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Kapoor's respective onscreen traits.

While the bellicose roles have been getting him the 'Angry young man' tag, his splendour in the same roles has got him comparisons with his uncle Anil Kapoor.

But Arjun is not ready to take such huge compliments involving big names. He claims that its way to early too categorize him.

"Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan) was the quintessential angry young man while Anil chachu (Anil Kapoor) was the jhakaas young man. It's too early for me to be bound to an image; I should be playing different characters," said Arjun.

Citing the same intention, he exclaims that he chose '2 States' to prove that he can do a variety of roles.
