Arnold Schwarzenegger making movie comeback

11th February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed he is returning to acting.

After serving seven years as the Republican governor of California, the action man has revealed his intention to get back on the big screen. Arnold says he is considering a host of promising scripts and has told his team at Creative Artists Agency to start finding him acting roles.

"Exciting news. My friends at CAA have been asking me for 7 years when they can take offers seriously. Gave them the green light today," he wrote on his Twitter account.

Arnold left his post last month, but had failed to confirm whether he would be focusing his attentions on pursuing a career in politics or movies.

The 63-year-old star proved he still has a passion for acting when he appeared alongside Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis in action film The Expendables last year. It is believed he will reprise his role for the sequel.

Arnold had appeared in movies which failed to set the box office alight before he became governor including Collateral Damage and End of Days. However, he did enjoy success when he starred in a third Terminator movie in 2003.

Last month, the Austrian-American star revealed he was looking at three scripts, one of which he had been offered before he was elected governor. (C) Cover Media
