On Monday, 5th May, which was an auspicious day as per the calendar, the shooting of the Tamil remake of Hindi hit 'Delhi Belly' got a kickstart at Binny Mills in Chennai. The film has Arya and Santhanam in lead roles.
The two actors are known for their terrific on-screen chemistry, and they created a magic on screen in 'Boss Engira Baskaran'. Now they are at work again, for the Tamil version of 'Delhi Belly', which is being directed by Kannan of 'Jayamkondan' fame.
UTV Motion Pictures, which produced the original version, is backing the remake version as well. Dhananjayan, who heads UTV in the south, wrote on his microblogging page that the whole project took off only thanks to Arya who recently did 'Vettai' with the production house.
The present working title is 'Settai' but a decision is yet to be made on the final title. Premji Amaren and Hansika Motwani are doing key roles.
