September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Veteran Bollywood actress Asha Parekh got nostalgic at the screening of her hit film 'Teesri Manzil', which was released in 1966. On Saturday, Radio Mirchi organized a special screening of the movie, which was directed by Vijay Anand.
Asha Parekh was present at the screening of the movie along with Shammi Kapoor, Aamir Khan and singer Asha Bhosle. Recalling about her blockbuster movie 'Teesri Manzil', Parekh said that if the movie is remade today then she would opt Kareena Kapoor to play her role.
The 67-year-old veteran actress said that all the actresses of today are very good so it is very difficult for her to choose any of them. However, given an option she would like to name Kareena for the role, Asha said. According to her, Kareena will suit the role best.
The actress also recollected one incident during the shoot of the movie. Asha said that while shooting for the song 'Aajaa Aajaa' in the movie, she somehow got contracted an allergy and took a lot of medicines for the same. As a result, she was required to finish the song very soon and a lot of portions were done at a time. It was very difficult on her part and she still remembers the incident, the veteran concluded.
We hope, the filmmakers of today and Kareena are listening to the veteran actress!
