With the climax of Ranveer Singh starrer 'Simmba', Rohit Shetty had a bang on surprise for the audiences introducing an ATS officer a charming cop in aviator talking to 'Singham' and it was Akshay Kumar as 'Sooryavanshi'.
Earlier speculations and rumours stated that 'Sooryavanshi' will be the remake of popular Tamil film, 'Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru'. As per a report published in Mid-Day, Rohit Shetty was in talks for acquiring the rights of the Tamil film for Sooryavanshi, however, he has denied all these speculations revolving around the film and called them baseless and confirmed that this Akshay Kumar starrer is not any adaptation and will be an original story.
The rumours aroused as the recent his directorial 'Simmba' was a remake of the Telugu film, 'Temper'. However, his team worked on the script themselves before remaking the film.
Shetty's PR team has issued a public statement saying, "This is to clarify that the news is completely untrue and baseless. Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, which is produced and directed by Rohit Shetty, is an original story and not inspired from any film."
Shetty's solo cop film which will go on floors around mid 2019 and release in December.
