Ashton Kutcher: I learnt a life lesson

12th January 2012

Ashton Kutcher learnt a "lesson for life" after causing a Twitter scandal last year.

The actor caused outrage when he commented on a news story of which he seemingly didn't know the full facts.

The 33-year-old expressed his disappointment at the sacking of football coach Joe Paterno, who was facing allegations of serial paedophilia.

Despite his prompt apology, Ashton's tweets are now being monitored by his management.

"It is a great lesson for life too, taking that pause before you do and act and being sure what you're doing is what you want to be doing," Ashton E! Online.

The Two And A Half Men star said the scandal made him realise that he has to control his impulses in the future.

He will ensure is fully informed before adding to any debate in the future.

"I think the biggest thing is it's a real-time service - the impulse is to sorta stay ahead of the curve and know what's going on. I just take that extra pause now and make sure I'm fully educated about what I'm talking about and just not to get that sort of impulse feedback, which I think is the biggest thing," he said.
