Bollywood stars seldom get a chance to celebrate festivals with their families as for most of the time, these stars are tied up with their various commitments.
But as they say, where there is a will there is a way and our south siren Asin definitely has mastered the art to manage it really well.
The actress who was busy shooting for her film made sure to arrange her schedule in such a manner that she would get a day off on the festive occasion of Onam.
Asin flew down to Kochi, Kerala, on her way back from the Maldives, to celebrate the festival in traditional style. She was extremely happy for the fact that she was able to spend quality time with her loved ones on a festive eve.
"I got a chance to celebrate Onam with my entire family after many years, as I had been busy shooting the past few years," said Asin.
When asked to share her fond memories of the festival, Asin is quick to respond. "I just love when everyone gets dressed up in customary attire. I love wearing the traditional white sari with a gold border, so I did that. Also, whenever I’m around, I’m in charge of making the Pookalam (a colourful arrangement of flowers on the floor). I remember plucking flowers to make it when I was a child, and this year too, I was the one who made it," she added.
She was excited as her extended family too joined them in celebrations. "My parents are with me, but I am happy that my cousins, uncles and aunts also joined us. It had been really long since I got to meet everyone," said Asin flashing her signature smile.
