The makers of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Gully Boy' have dropped the title track named 'Apna Time Aayega' and we have Ranveer who plays the titular role whose character is inspired from Naezy, a local rapper and the resemblance is more or less the same.
We see him taking on the streets and struggling individual following his passion for rap as he chooses to write these lines on his own. We get to see all his hard work and dedication towards this genre of music and how fluently he sings these rap verses despite doing a job of a driver. The song is performed by Ranveer, and composed by Divine and Dub Sharma, with lyrics by Divine & Ankur Tewari. Click here to watch the music video.
This 'Gully Boy' song has some lines from Divine's recent song, 'Teesri Manzil'. Talking about the film at the recent trailer launch event in Mumbai, Ranveer said, "When somebody told me about the script of Gully Boy, I told them that it is my film. If any other actor would have been a part of this film instead of me then I would have got burnt with jealousy. I was born to do Gully Boy and I knew only I can pull off this character."
Gully Boy is helmed by Zoya Akhtar, and has been scheduled for a February 14 release.
