Today, a leading daily reported a development about Shoojit Sircar's next film '1911'.

While it is a known fact that the film is being produced by John Abraham, the actor is also playing the main lead in the film.

According to the latest reports, Ayushmann Khurrana was said to play the second lead.

The newspaper reported that while Ayushmann says that he is playing the lead, Shoojit is denying the same.

To this, Shoojit's spokesperson sent out an official statement that says:

In a story in a leading Mumbai daily Shoojit Sircar's words have been misconstrued he sets the record straight.

"I am currently busy with the scripting of 1911 and I had spoken about the film to Ayushmann and he had agreed to do it, however I would like him to read the script when it is ready and then decide finally."
