National award winning director Bala will start the shoot for his next venture titled Eri Thanal next month. He is currently adding finishing touches to the script, with help coming from popular Tamil writer Jeyamohan, say sources close to the director.                    

Atharva plays the lead protagonist's role while the name of the heroine is kept under wraps. Bala who usually pens his own scripts has been inspired to make this film based on a Malayalam novel which was hugely celebrated for its theme and narration.

The story, according to reports, is based on a family and the turmoil they undergo due to their troubled son. Atharva will play the role of the troubled son.

G V Prakash is is the music director of the film. Bala plans to shoot the movie in one go. Eri Thanal accordig to sources would be completed in just six months. Meanwhile Bala has assigned Vishal to be part of his next venture (after Eri Thanal).
