On Tuesday, September 4th, the government and the Supreme court decided to permit smoking scenes in movies with a strict stipulation stating that the cast would also give out the message that 'Smoking is injurious to health'.
But, before an official statement could be ruled out, Balakrishna had already done the needful. Well, in his recent film 'Srimannarayana', the actor reads a two-line message before the film begins. And trade circles say, that all will take a cue from him.
Member of the councel, V. Shekar spoke to the higher authorities in the court informing them that the notification is in the final stage, and it will soon be notified in the Gazette.
They further added, that the rules communicated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on behalf of the Health Ministry have been passed on to the Central Board of Film Certification.
