The Beckhams' three sons threw a mini-party' to celebrate the family's stay in Los Angeles, it has been revealed.

According to sources, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz were so relieved they won't have to leave their friends and Californian outdoor lifestyle behind to follow their father to France, they arranged a celebration at the Beckhams' mansion in Hertfordshire, England.

International sports star David recently turned down the opportunity to play for French soccer team Paris Saint-Germain for "family reasons".

He was in negotiations to move to the French team after his five-year contract with LA Galaxy ended on December 31. However, David decided against the move as it would cause too much upset for his family.

"They [the boys] were so delighted when David told them they wouldn't have to move schools or make new friends in a different country," a family friend told British publication Hello. "They are doing so well at school and love surfing and outdoor sports things they wouldn't have been able to do in Paris. They were so happy that their needs and wishes had been listened to."

According to the source, fashion designer Victoria was surprised but happy about her husband's decision.

Following family meetings in which the three boys voiced their concerns about the potential move, she was glad to see David considering their children's wishes.

"She was very proud of him for putting their kid's needs first," the source added.
