Bipasha Basu is one of those few superstars who has been extremely open about their personal lives. But it is her blunt speech that has landed her in trouble. Bipasha recently confessed that it was her mistake that she decided to reveal about her broken relationship with John Abraham. Bipasha says that when she broke out the news of her renewed single status, the media went berserk amd had overtly exaggerated her troubled love life in public.

Bipasha stated that she was extremely upset with the way her break up was heavily scrutinized in media which dampened her personal life further. She further complained that her mother too was not happy with her daughter's life being discussed in tabloids. Bipasha quoted that she often had to give a series of justifications to her mother and rest of family and assure them that the reported things were untrue. Bipasha says "When someone is open about their personal life , people should know how to respect their personal lives as they too have families."

She also exclaimed that she has now realized that why some stars prefer to stay mum on their personal life as she feels that they know the consequences of being too open about their relationships.
