(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Blake Lively has revealed she dances to the Lion King soundtrack whenever she needs cheering up.

The American rarely feels down, as she thinks worrying about things is a waste of time. As a child she was always happy and jolly, and thats how she tries to stay now shes an adult.

Occasionally things get too much for her though, which is when she perks herself up by dancing to the songs from the 1994 movie.

[When I was four I was] walking down the street [and I thought] its the perfect day to be happy, and I never really lost that, Blake explained.

Ive just always believed you should put a lot of positive out there. When I have bad days, I just eat lots of chocolate ice cream and dance to the Lion King soundtrack. Its really odd, but its true.

Blake is famed for playing Serena van der Woodsen in American series Gossip Girl, and has also been enjoying success on the big screen recently. She appeared alongside Ben Affleck in gritty film the Town, and later this year will be seen in Green Lantern, which also stars Ryan Reynolds.

The 23-year-old wants to play as many different characters as possible from now on, as she enjoys being challenged. She is due to start shooting Hick soon, in which she plays a woman who is battling addiction.

I dont believe that people are just black and white, so I do love when there are women that are gray. Its such a human story, but its told with an almost magical element, she told WWD.

I never plan [my career] out. I fell into acting, and the fortunate side of that is that every job Ive taken has been case by case because I wanted to do it. (C) Cover Media
