'Bodyguard', the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film 'Bodyguard', which was a block buster, was launched in Hyderabad. Venky and Trisha play the lead in the remake. The movie, which was earlier made in Tamil as 'Kavalan' had turned out to be a hit, so it is now being made in Telugu too with the same in the title, 'Bodyguard'. Venky and Trisha both were present at the event.

'Bodyguard' is a pleasant love story and has a nice screenplay. In the Tamil version Vijay and Asin played the lead under Siddiq's, who directed the original one. The Telugu version of the film is being directed by Gopichand.
